Clarian Federal Credit Union and Community Choice FCU agree to merge
November 20, 2009
Clarian Federal Credit Union is merging with Community Choice Federal Credit Union. Both boards of directors approved the merger in October, and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) approved it Nov. 10.
“The mission of Clarian Federal Credit Union is to enable members in the community to realize their financial goals and objectives,” says Chris Wardrip, CEO of Clarian FCU. “We are committed to that mission and are excited about the opportunity to be of service to a larger community of members. Ultimately, this will make us a stronger organization, and also will provide our current members with another conveniently located branch.”
The 28-year-old Community Choice Federal Credit Union is located at 2811 E. 10th Street. Community Choice FCU will continue serving its members at its 10th and Rural branch and also provide a third location for Clarian FCU members, in addition to Clarian FCU’s locations at 1515 N. Senate Ave. in Indianapolis and inside Clarian West Medical Center in Avon.
Community Choice FCU members will gain an on-site ATM at the 10th Street branch and access to a network of free ATMs, as well as access to Clarian FCU’s Web-based home banking and bill payment service.
Clarian FCU offers competitive rates on personal, auto and home equity loans, and its inclusive loan policy is structured to assist members with less-than-perfect credit. Serious savers appreciate Clarian FCU’s aggressive dividend structure on certificates and IRAs.
Officials expect the merger to be complete by the end of this year.
